More about Chris on this page: Machine Expert
1. What materials are the classifiers made from?
MGB Classifiers are fabricated with stainless steel or carbon steel screening material, allowing you to choose the best option based on corrosion resistance or cost requirements.
2. What classifier models are available?
They are offered in single-stage or two-stage models to suit different separation needs.
3. What screen sizes can I order?
Standard widths include 16", 22", 28", 32", and 48", with various lengths for discharge and fines/overs handling.
4. Can I get a custom size classifier?
Yes — custom sizes are available upon request if your application requires non-standard dimensions.
5. What motor is used on these classifiers?
Each classifier comes with a 1 HP motor and starter mounted on a heavy-duty carbon steel base.
6. Are these classifiers suitable for food or chemical industries?
Stainless steel construction improves corrosion resistance and sanitation, making them appropriate for many applications where cleanliness is critical. (General insight based on stainless steel properties; product page mentions stainless options.)
7. What kind of maintenance do these classifiers require?
Routine checks of screens, motor mounts, and vibration performance are recommended to maintain consistent separation efficiency. (General industrial equipment best practice.)
8. How do I choose between stainless steel and carbon steel classifiers?
Choose stainless steel if corrosion resistance and cleanliness are priorities; choose carbon steel for robust general industrial use at lower cost. (General material comparison.)
9. What industries typically use these classifiers?
They are commonly used in plastic pellet processing, recycling, granulation, and other applications where fines and overs are separated via vibrating screens.
10. Where are these classifiers manufactured?
MGB Classifiers are made in the USA.

MGB Vibrating Classifier Screeners gently and efficiently screen dry plastic raw materials.

MGB Classifiers (Sifters) for pellet sorting separate “fines” and “overs” from on-spec plastic material. Resin manufacturers and compounders especially appreciate the designed-in ease of cleaning, negligible maintenance and quiet operation.
